FIRST Robotics Learning Center in partnership with Eye Level is gearing up to a fun-filled learning summer workshop to be held in Panganiban Drive, Naga. Workshop will run from May 3-6, 2016.

This will be a 4-day workshop from ages 4-16 years old. Kids will learn hands-on manipulative with intergrated technology and curiculum to create a minds-on experience. Robotics offer kids the opportunity to take ownership of the learning process, enabling them to actively develop the problem-solving skills, their analytical way of thinking and collaboratively become creators.

Pupils of Willow Tree Learning Center enjoyed their summer class with different activities their school offered. One of it was FRLC’s Summer Workshop.Willow Tree Learning Center and First Robotics Learning Center organized a summer workshop that will let kids enjoy and understand robotics through STEM Education.

Kids enrolled at World of Science and Technology used basic sensors and mechanical parts as they program their models to make it move with the use of drag-and-drop software. And for World of Robotics enrollees, kids were introduced to EV3 Lego Mindstorms, the third generation robot in Lego’s robotic line.

The said workshop was offered every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from May 06 to May 25, 2015 (except May 08), with the total of 8 sessions.

Overall, the students expressed interest in all lessons that were lined for them. It was a fun and memorable summer experience that kids will treasure. -- RCM

On August 28, Clark College of Science and Technology went to our center to have an Educational Tour. First Robotics Team organized the program for their Field Trip; we introduce the Robotics Concept, Building construction of Robot, and the Programming. Students are divided into 5 groups to build the Sumobot Project. Each group has their Robot to compete with the other’s Robot.

As part of this, students have the opportunity to learn about the basic engineering design process through series of fun activities. This workshop deals with the concept of robotics, practical hands-on experience and their teamwork skills.

The activities convey the importance of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Education. And at the end of the workshop a competition will be organized among the students where each participating students will get the Certificate of Participation and the Group Winners will get a Certificate of Merit. -- CDB

Last August 29, 2015, the Mommy Bloggers of the Philippines were invited together with their kids to have a chance to experience our free trial class. The trial class will be for all levels: 4+ Our World of Adventures and Inventions, 7+ Our World of Science and Technology, 9+ Our World of Robotics.

Here are some excerpts from the blogs of the mommies.

"I was really impressed by First Robotics and the classes they offer. The amenities are top of the line and high tech beyond my comprehension." -- Renz Alcantara (Pinay Mompreneur)

"They even have challenges after their workshop and I'm proud to say that both Exe and Mikayla won on their respective classes." -- Donna Sarmiento (Pinay's Mom Life)
